It’s time to let your hair down! The Friday Reception and Networking Happy Hour is bigger and better than ever. This is the best chance of the year to mingle with and meet or catch-up with colleagues from across the state. In addition to a good food, beer, and wine, this year we have a couple of ways to break the ice, including:
This year we have live music from local band Jukebox Deluxe. The band will be playing sets throughout the evening. Enjoy the music in the background or be bold and sing or dance along!
The band consists of four vocalists who cover a variety of musical styles and artists including rock, pop, country, funk, soul, and blues. Although the catalog is diverse, the members share one common trait—a passion for bringing people together through the universal language of music!
And yes, that is board member John Inglish in the bottom right.
Line Dancing with Michelle Dodge
Get up and get moving! Michelle Dodge will be joining us to teach some classic, easy line dances to go with the live music. Don’t worry: cowboy hats and boots are not required.
Michelle Dodge has been teaching dance since 1991. It all started when she had been taking lessons and the instructors, who were going on vacation, had asked her to teach. She did and loved it! Not only has Michelle taught, but she competed for about 5 years in couple dancing. She has taught for corporate events and weddings as well as choreographed routines for the Portland Bridal Show and worked with individuals in one-on-one lessons and has done choreography for weddings. She currently teaches at Bushwhackers in Tualatin and the Ponderosa in Portland. Her motto: You don’t make mistakes, you do variations.
Mingle and find individuals in different fields and experiences. Complete a bingo by the end of the conference for a prize!
